When you leave the timer sitting idle with the display facing up, it will power down after around five minutes (the manual claims 10 minutes) to conserve battery life.Always tilt the timer back into its original position when you paused it by facing the display up, otherwise, you'll start a new countdown. Tilting the timer one too many times or in the wrong direction could cause you to lose your current countdown.Fortunately, only the side that's facing up is responsive tapping the fingerprint icon of a side that's facing left or right won't do anything. Avoid accidentally touching the top-facing fingerprint icon while you're in the middle of a session, as that will reset the countdown.Once you get the hang of it, however, you'll be setting countdown timers with ease.
